Gear Up For Bizu’s Macaron Day This March
And by gear up, we mean get hungry.
(SPOT.ph) March 20, Friday, is World Macaron Day, and Bizu, the country’s first purveyor of these French cookies is celebrating it in a major way on March 21-by giving customers a free macaron.
Bizu has been making the colorful cookies since 2001, and this is the fourth year that they are celebrating the 10-year-old global macaron tradition.
World Macaron Day was conceptualized by French patissier Pierre Hermé to support charities. For Bizu’s part, proceeds from macaron sales on March 21 (because you’ll definitely want more than one, right?) will be donated to Virlanie Foundation Inc., a private French organization that aims to improve the lives of street children in the Philippines.
