Bibimbap stop I Am Kim to shut down this May
It's only been a year.
(SPOT.ph) Do-it-yourself bibimbap bar I Am Kim has announced via Facebook that it will be shutting its doors on May 31.
I Am Kim, which was formerly helmed by free-thinking chef Him Uy de Baron, opened back in March 2015. It was one of the first eateries to launch in Estancia Mall, Capitol Commons, Pasig City. The idea was to offer a variety of ways to enjoy bibimbap—from traditional Korean to Filipino to Western to even allowing customers to assemble their own preferences. It paved way for more rice-oriented restaurants to open in the Metro.
In December 2015, I Am Kim adopted a new concept—launching unlimited bibimbap (plus tagging bigger discounts to their bibimbap buffets) and serving as a space for parties.
For their final week, I Am Kim will be offering their unlimited bibimbap two for the price of one, meaning that for every person who avails the P499 buffet deal, another gets to indulge for free.
