(SPOT.ph) Perhaps one of the most anticipated openings of the year is Tsuta. The first ramen shop to earn a Michelin star in Tokyo, Japan is opening their flagship branch in the Philippines at Bonifacio High Street on December 16, and lots of treats await. For one, the first 10 guests to drop by on opening day get to score free ramen—for an entire year!
These early birds get a free bowl of any of Tsuta's specialty shoyu (soy-based broth), shio (salt-based broth) or miso soba for a whole year. The next 20 diners get six months worth of free ramen, the succeeding 20 get three months' worth of free ramen, and the next 50 after get a voucher for a bowl of free ramen, valid any time for a year.
Tsuta's ramen stands out because of the addition of truffle oil in the broth, for a distinct earthy taste that elevates each bowl. Chef Yuki Onishi also uses his own tare or ramen base and handmade soba noodles. Having a year's supply of their tasty ramen? That's living the dream.
Tsuta will open on December 16 at UG/F C3 Bonifacio High Street Central, 7th Avenue corner 30th Street. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. though the queue will be accomodated starting at 6 a.m.
