(SPOT.ph) You could probably count on both hands how many food kiosks become real mall institutions—and to a degree, that’s a personal question—but there’s something about one like Auntie Anne’s that makes it a welcome sight no matter where you find it. Because it’s so established, it’s hard to imagine a time when it wasn’t there, so it’s a little jarring to think that their Philippine stores are turning 25 this year.
But it’s still a big number, and one to celebrate! That’s why for every 25th of the month, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., Auntie Anne’s will feature a different menu item and price it at only P25. That means that on January 25 you can get their Lemonade Iced Tea for that cheap, but on February 25, it’ll be their famous Almond Pretzels.
And just to rid some of you of the confusion: The first store was set up in a farmer’s market in Pennsylvania in 1988—founder Anne Beiler is indeed a real aunt to about 30 nieces and nephews. So at least you know the name’s appropriate!
Don’t get it twisted—there are more treats to come throughout the year. Make sure you write your favorites down in your planner!
