You Can Score Free Potato Takoyaki Until February 29
Calling all cheese lovers!
(SPOT.ph) We’re not sure what we find so indulgent about cheese, but it seems to have that effect in all its forms. Whether it’s sandwiched and grilled or a massive wheel of parmesan that a chef sets on fire, cheese just says, “Treat yourself!” in a way few other foods can; throw in a good carb or two and consider yourself ready to face the next month. If you agree—who are we kidding, of course you do—then you’re in luck over at Tori Chizu. For every two Chizu Rice Bowls (starting at P129) you get, you also receive a free plate of their Potato Takoyaki—a stack of eight super-soft potato rounds, garnished with Japanese mayo, takoyaki sauce, and bonito flakes.

And note: It’s for every two bowls. So it’s the perfect excuse to hang out with a friend—or a special friend. Ahem. February isn’t over just yet, you know.
Tori Chizu opened in 2017, serving a more specific type of yoshoku, or Japanese food inspired by American and European influences. Some of the more popular dishes in this subcategory are omurice (rice omelettes), hambagu (hamburger steaks), and tonkatsu. The use of stretchy and gooey cheese is just one of the ways that Japanese cuisine has incorporated Western ingredients.
Tori Chizu has branches at G/F Building A, SM Megamall, Ortigas Center, Mandaluyong City and 2/F Trinoma, North Avenue, Quezon City. For more information, log on to Tori Chizu's Facebook page.
