Ricardo's Vista del Cielo may look like an ordinary Filipino food joint, but if you come here really early, say before sunrise, you might just catch the sea of clouds rolling over the mountains. Yup, this humble establishment along Marcos Highway boasts views of a sea of clouds at certain times of the year, granted you're there early enough. Located in a private subdivision in Binangonan, Rizal, this spot is not only a place where you can dine and enjoy views of Laguna Lake, but it's also a place where you can enjoy art. A multi-story building featuring galleries of local artwork plus a roof deck restaurant and cafe with a gorgeous view of the sunset is as good as any reason to make the long journey to this spot. Pro tip: head there before the golden hour. A lot of people tend to arrive closer to sunset to enjoy the views so if you want a front-row seat you might want to come in earlier and just chow while waiting.

Ever since it opened its doors in 1984, Vieux Chalet has seen many birthdays, anniversaries, and other special occasions, which might be a testament to how great its food is made even better by a truly majestic view. Its menu is relatively simple, made up of classic European fare like osso bucco, pizza, and pasta—but dessert is where it stands out, so don't forget to make room.
