Pasig Pottery Studio Wabi Sabi Is Now Home to the Cutest Café

(SPOT.ph) Wabi Sabi is one of the more known pottery studios in Metro Manila. Nestled along Capitol Drive in Pasig City, this dainty pottery studio is the place to unwind and channel your energy into something that's not work. If you need a cup of coffee before your three-hour pottery class—the earliest class is 10 a.m.—you don't have to go anywhere else because Wabi Sabi opened the Wabi Café right beside the studio.

Wabi Sabi opens Wabi Café, a cool new cafe right beside their pottery studio:

The Wabi Café, at first glance, looks more bare than minimalist, and the ginormous space it occupies accentuates it. When you look closer, you'll notice the little details that give this space character: the handcrafted unique crockeries that are used for display and for serving coffee and pastries, the pops of color from the mismatched furniture and rugs, and the potted plants that give the space life.

The café serves a no-frills coffee menu which works to the advantage of any coffee fans since you already have an idea what drink to order—for instance, a Cortado if you're in the mood for a hot beverage or a White Mocha if you want something iced.

Don't expect any heavy meals at Wabi Café—it is not a restaurant. The café only offers the likes of buttery croissants (plain or as a sandwich), pain au chocolat, cookies, and other baked goods that you can pair with your choice of Joe that comes served in a ceramic mug with Garapata-esque eyes and the tiniest hands holding the world's tiniest croissant.

What's great about the Wabi Café is that you don't need to book a pottery class if all you want is to appreciate the space, the coffee, the food, and the earthenware they're served in—we get it, not everyone dreams of recreating the iconic scene from Ghost. But if you're just like us and you want to serve your homemade brewed coffee in something just as cute as their mugs, the only possible way is by taking their pottery classes.
