Lotus Biscoff Again? Give This Underrated llaollao Sauce a Try
Order it with the Lotus Biscoff crunch.
(SPOT.ph) Loyalists and hardcore fans of llaollao's Biscoff sauce would be brave enough to say that it is the best sauce e-ver—or maybe they'd even go as far as to say it's the best froyo sauce bar none. But what if we tell you there is a llaollao sauce that can very well compete with Biscoff on the same level, perhaps be even better? This sauce, froyo lovers, is the Pistachio sauce.

You need to try this llaollao better-than-Biscoff froyo sauce:
llaollao's Pistachio sauce comes in this warm green color—easy to identify as it's the only green sauce they have. It's not that readily visible, but there are small bits of crushed pistachios mixed into the sauce that delivers the slightest crunch.
The green sauce has a mild pistachio taste to it, which can be because of the crushed pistachios mixed in. But our tastebuds tell us it leans toward a sweet, buttery white chocolate, which we can assume is what's used for its base. Similar to llaollao's other sauces, its sweetness works with the tanginess of their frozen yogurt.
What's great about llaollao is the freedom to customize the toppings. If you want both the crunch and the sauce, the cheapest option is the Petite Sanum (P199) cup which includes two fruit toppings, one crunchy topping, and one sauce. There's also the Medium tub (P199) which includes any three toppings of your choice.
While we're bummed crushed pistachios aren't a crunch option we can pair with the pistachio sauce, llaollao does have almonds as a close alternative if you want to go nuts. But for the sake of making the dream froyo, we recommend choosing Lotus Biscoff Crunch, a.k.a. crushed Lotus Biscoff cookies, to get the best of both worlds without the additional cost.
Our theory of why llaollao's Pistachio Sauce isn't at par with Lotus Biscoff's is that the green sauce is not always available and there's no telling when it will be available. But hopefully, with the resurgence of the froyo trend, there would be more chances that we'll sight this green sauce as we approach the froyo kiosk.
