(SPOT.ph) There are three things to be excited about this weekend: First, obviously, is that it's the weekend; second, that it's a long weekend as we celebrate National Heroes Day on Monday. The third reason? There's an extended schedule for Balay Dako's breakfast buffet. On at least one of the long-weekend mornings, you can drive to Tagaytay's Balay Dako for their well-known breakfast buffet.

Here's the extended schedule for Balay Dako's breakfast buffet:
Balay Dako's breakfast buffet usually happens on weekends, i.e. Saturdays and Sundays—but they have a special schedule for the long weekend. In a Facebook post, Balay Dako, announced that it's extending its breakfast buffet operations for the entire upcoming long weekend—i.e., it now takes place from August 26 to 28.
There's no reservation at Balay Dako, so best be there early. The buffet starts at 7 a.m. until 11 a.m., so leave the house early to avoid traffic, especially if you're coming from Metro Manila.
If you're fortunate enough that you can be seated as soon as you arrive at Balay Dako or the queue isn't that long, here's a short cheat sheet on what you should try: Fork-tender Corned Beef, pillow-soft Queso de Bola Ensaymada, and for dessert, scoops of restaurant's homemade ice cream—a flavor of your choice.
Balay Dako is along the Tagaytay - Nasugbu Highway, Tagaytay. For more information, visit Balay Dako's Facebook page.
