(SPOT.ph) The ocean can sometimes take on the most beautiful bright blue color. Depending on the weather and how it twinkles under the sunlight, the time, and, of course, where you’re looking at it from, it gifts you with stunning views. When you’re seated inside the Azure Beach Club in Crimson Resort and Spa at Station 0 on the island of Boracay, you’ll get the chance to witness that exact color, that kind of azure while you’re noshing on authentic Asian fare to make the moment all the better.

Here’s what to expect at the Azure Beach Club in Crimson Resort and Spa in Boracay:

While Mosaic is nestled on top of the Crimson, the Azure Beach Club is a few steps away from shore (another restaurant in the area, Saffron Cafe, is right in the middle). It has the perfect view of the Naked Rock, after which they have a cocktail named. You can get a load of the picturesque beachfront view without getting your toes in the sand—though of course, you can if you want to. You’re on an island after all—and on one of the world’s greatest places (2022), no less. From Mactan to the shores of Boracay.

But the azure doesn’t stop at the waters or even in the skies. You can spot splashes of that bright blue hue inside the restaurant—on their tables, plates, glasses, and windows, it gently cradles and complements the wooden interiors. Together, they’re like a wooden boat out in the calm sea.

The Azure Beach Club is open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. so if you want to catch those beautiful bright blue waves crashing into shore, you might want to stop by around the afternoon. They’ve got al fresco seating, too, if you want that salty ocean air on your face or just want to dine under the stars.

Menu-wise, the Azure Beach Club covers a wide selection of Asian cuisines. You can choose between Japanese, Korean, and Indian tandoori and curries. Or mix and match them however you like. Their seafood laksa, for one, has the rich flavors of the sea with a little bit of kick in steaming bowls.

For lunch, we got to try Ahi Tuna Poke (P850) as appetizer; this dish featured small cubes of tuna and avocado forming a block with yuzu ginger vinaigrette on a bright blue plate.

They’ve also got wood fire-oven pizzas like the Braised Pork Belly (P800) and the BBQ Eel (P1,250) topped with scallops, shitake, creamy wasabi, mozzarella, with unagi sauce sprinkled with bonito flakes. You can even select from fresh seafood on their ice display and ask the chefs to prepare it to your liking. Azure’s got a great lineup of cocktails, too—let’s just say we got one too many sips of the sweet and blue Naked Rock (P320) in between.

One dish to look for on the dinner menu is the Butter Chicken Curry (P650) which is one of their specialties. It’s got a load of Indian spices mixed with yogurt, tomatoes, cream, almonds, and cashews. They’ve got Chicken (P700) and Vegetable (P500) Biryani as well. This time around, we got another of their signature cocktails, the Pink Summer (P350), to wrap up a wonderful evening.

You’ll be one with the azure waters in sight and taste when you dine in at The Azure Beach Club—just as it says in the name.
