(SPOT.ph) Touted as the culinary capital of the Philippines, Pampanga is known to be the birthplace of sisig, the home of several up-and-coming cafes, and generally the spot to get some great grub. And with its close proximity to the Metro, it should come as no surprise that many make the trip up north to, well, have a food trip.
If you’re hoping to hit the road as well but unsure of where to start your Pampanga food adventure, we’ve rounded up a list of 10 restaurants, which includes old favorites and trending spots you may have seen while scrolling through your FYP.

Add these restaurants in Pampanga to your must-visit list:
Aling Lucing
You can’t drive all the way to Pampanga without sampling the dish that put it on the map: Sisig. And there’s no better way to experience it than making a stop at the OG, Aling Lucing. Their sisig is the kind that's zero-frills—just pure crispy and tender pork bits, onions, and chilies served on a sizzling platter. Purists, rejoice, as there are no eggs or mayonnaise to be found here!
Aling Lucing is at Glaciano Valdez Street, Barangay Agapito del Rosario, Angeles City.
25 Seeds
25 Seeds is a farm-to-table concept helmed by acclaimed Filipino and Kapampangan chef, Sau del Rosario. Located at a renovated ancestral home, this restaurant features modern takes on regional dishes from the area as well as classic Pinoy fare. Must-tries include the Tamales Pampanguena, the Sisig Paella, and the Crispy Pork Belly Truffled Macadamia Kare-Kare.
25 Seeds is at Dycaico Ancestral House, Barangay Santo Rosario Street, Angeles City.
Rainforest Kichene
Branding itself as the Food Haven of Pampanga, this quaint, forest-inspired restaurant features local and international fare made with the freshest ingredients. Signature items on the menu include the Salt-Crusted Pork Belly, a lechon-inspired dish that comes with both applesauce and spiced vinegar; their hefty Seafood Paella, served with mouthwatering pieces of crab and shrimp; and their wide variety of steaks, all of which are grilled to your liking.
Rainforest Kichene is at 13 Pope Building, Greenfields Commercial Complex, San Fernando.
Donenoo Korean Restaurant
Pampanga is also home to a pretty sizable Korean population, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise that a few Korean barbecue places made it to our list. Donenoo is one of the most popular spots in the area and although they may not have eat-all-you-can options like Korean barbecue restaurants in the Metro, you’ll be sure that you’re getting the best premium cuts of beef and pork—all cooked for you by their staff.
Donenoo Korean Restaurant is at Fil-Am Friendship Highway corner Yangtze Street, Korea Town Angeles City.
KYND Dining
This garden restaurant in Pampanga not only offers fantastic scenic views but also some stellar grub. While you take in the surrounding nature, treat yourself to their Apple and Nuts Salad, a sweet mix of two kinds of apples and candied nuts topped with a honey mayo cinnamon dressing. From there you can load up on their Pizza Negra, which takes its name from its black crust; and their decidedly decadent Pasta sa Taba ng Alimango, featuring an umami-rich crab fat sauce.
KYND Dining is at Sapangbato, Angeles City.
Loca Bomb
Craving Indian and Middle Eastern flavors? Loca Bomb has you covered. They have two branches open—one in Angeles, and one in San Fernando. Bestsellers include their fragrant Chicken Biryani; the spicy and rich Beef Nihari (a type of beef stew); and their Kebab Platter, which comes with beef and chicken kebabs, basmati rice, pita bread, and bone marrow.
Loca Bomb is at 178 Lazatin Blvd, San Fernando City and The Hood, Sto. Rosario Street, Barangay Sto. Domingo, Angeles City.
Mila’s Tokwa’t Baboy
This is another institution in Pampanga, becoming famous for their casual homestyle cooking. They’re, of course, best known for the dish they’re named after—the Tokwa’t Baboy or crispy fried tofu served alongside pig ears stewed in their homemade soy sauce—but don’t miss out on their take on sisig as well as their grilled tocino.
Mila's Tokwa't Baboy is at San Andres Street, Barangay San Angelo, Angeles City.
The Smokery
Like its name implies, this food truck-turned-restaurant specializes in all things barbecue. Not to be missed are their rice meals, like the St. Louis Ribs that features pork ribs smoked for eight hours, resulting in perfectly soft and tender meat, and the sweet and juicy Smoked Candies, a pork belly dish. They also serve up Fil-Mex eats—think Pares Burrito and Kare Kare Tacos.
The Smokery is at A. Lim Street, Angeles City.
The Souq
It may not look like it from the outside, being located inside a former warehouse, but The Souq is considered to be the most picture-worthy restaurant in Pampanga. That’s thanks to its eclectic interiors, featuring mismatched furniture, high ceilings decked with lamps, and an ability to mix nature with man-made materials. Their menu is just as eclectic as well, with items like the Asado Matswa—an almost kaldereta-like take on asado that uses tomatoes in its sauce. There’s also the Indonesian-inspired Prinitong Liempo in Sambal Sauce, as well as the Baked Bulalo Steak—a deconstructed version of a classic soup dish.
The Souq is at Lazatin Boulevard, San Fernando City.
Grill Seoul
Grill Seoul is another popular spot for Korean barbecue in Pampanga. They pride themselves on their set meals, which feature premium cuts of beef, pork, and chicken, as well as tiger prawns grilled with butter and an assortment of banchan. You'll also find stews, cold noodles, and bingsu a.k.a. shaved ice on their menu.
Grill Seoul is at Lot 4A., E. Jacinto Street, Clark.
