They're both communal spots where people are meant to gather, only in silence—so imagine a place that is both in one go. This magical equation is what you can find in Decimal Books + Coffee, a cozy little hub in Laguna that combines both.

What you should know about library café Decimal Books + Coffee in Laguna
Decimal Books + Coffee is at the Avida Shophouse Technopark in Laguna. You can drop by for a cup of joe and great reads, all at the same time. A peek at their Instagram account shows two floors worth of shelves upon shelves of books, from fictional works to self-help, history, and more. And yes, you're more than welcome to browse through and read their books while you sip away the afternoon.
They carry different types of drinks for the caffeine junkie. There are the classics like lattes, americanos, and more, including out-of-the-box choices like the Sangria (a mix of espresso, fruit juice and puree, and tonic water) and the Yuzu Black (espresso, yuzu tea, orange juice, honey, and spices). Best part is that you can order their drinks bottled via their Instagram in case you need your caffeine fix on the go, simply fill up their form and prep to pick it up at the store.

This cafe puts an emphasis on creating a community space for people who like to read and sip coffee in a peaceful setting. They opened in the latter half of 2023 and are, as with all things, continuously working to get better. For now, they're trying out different types of schedules, so that means they're open Tuesdays to Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and weekends from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays and Fridays are rest days as of writing, but be sure to check out their Instagram for changes.
Note that while you can go through their reads at the café, you can't take them home—unless you've got a library membership, of course. You can inquire directly with them if you live somewhere nearby, but don't worry if you're only dropping by for a bit, as you're more than welcome to hang out and read a while.
