Poison Coffee & Doughnuts Announces Its Permanent Closure
And it's their last day today, April 30.
(SPOT.ph) Poison Coffee and Doughnuts is one of those shops that any self-proclaimed doughnut-obsessed individual would go to for unconventional doughnut flavors beyond sugar-coated or sugar-glazed variations. After seven years in the biz, the brand known for its coffee and doughnuts (and ICYDK, its ramen) announced the permanent closure of its sole branch at Karrivin Plaza, and the brand as a whole.

Poison Coffee & Doughnuts at The Alley announces its permanent closure
In an Instagram post by Poison Coffee & Doughnuts, they announced that the shop "will be closed permanently starting May 1." This closure marks the coffee and doughnut brand's seventh year since opening in 2017, which in its over seven-year run, has even served ramen at its standalone shop at Karrivin Plaza.
While this unfortunate news caught all of us off guard, the shop has hinted at a new "cool concept" that will replace its space at The Alley. "...However, like the legendary Hydra, sever one head, and two more emerge," reads the announcement.
As of publishing this article, there are no confirmed details yet as to what the new concept will be but if we were to put our detective hat on, our gut tells us that there would be two small concepts squeezed into the space. As to what the concepts will offer or specialize in, your guess is as good as yours.
The announcement of the closure was posted on April 29, approximately two days before the closure. As much as we wish there were enough time to say our bittersweet goodbyes, our last hours with their bestselling doughnuts (i.e. the creative Champorado, Blueberry Glaze, Hazelnut Blue Cheese, Bicho Bicho, and Turon) are limited. Make sure to drop by the Karrivin Plaza outpost before its last day today, April 30.
Poison Coffee & Doughnuts is at Karrivin Plaza, Chino Roces Avenue, Makati City. For more information, check out Poison Coffee & Doughnuts' Facebook page.
