(SPOT.ph) A new type of Jollibee store is now operating at CityMall Calamba, Laguna—this time with happy bee brands Mang Inasal, Chowking, Greenwich, and of course, Jollibee, all under one roof. So if these are your go-to, then you may want to pay attention: it looks like this multi-brand setup is set to open up in CityMall branches across the nation.
Jollibee multi-brand store "food court" opens in CityMall
You might be thinking, well isn't that just a food court? From the outside, it may look like it, but what's cool is that the store operates with just a single kitchen. Think cloud kitchen, but for just the Jollibee brands. This means that you can order a lasagna, chao fan, pecho, and a burger steak all at once, and get your party-on-a-tray all together, too. No need to line up several times. This works great for the next time you guys can't decide where to eat.

"We are looking forward to soon see this new innovative format eventually in all the CityMalls in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao," said Edgar "Injap" Sia II, the chairman of the corporation behind CityMall, DoubleDragon.
As CityMalls' main focus is building "modern community malls" in less mainstream areas of the country, we just might be seeing this concept open up even in far-flung areas. As of now, DoubleDragon operates as far as Basilan in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region. They are also slated to open its 50th CityMall in Antique this year. The 50th CityMall opening milestone is to officially make DoubleDragon move up as the 3rd largest mall developer in the Philippines in 2024—another significant step towards their goal this year to become the country's third largest mall developer.
"DoubleDragon expects this new and innovative Multi-Brand format of the Jollibee Group to complement and blend well to the provincial community center concept of CityMall," said Sia.
Jollibee founder Tony Tan Caktiong is also a co-chairperson of DoubleDragon Properties. Jollibee acquired Mang Inasal in 2010 from Sia, who started the inasal chain in Iloilo in 2003.
