Amid Typhoon Carina, Community Pantry PH Calls for Donations
Not everyone has access to resources to survive these times.
(SPOT.ph) Typhoon Carina is in full swing, causing flooding in some elevated areas and a number of schools and offices to suspend operations. Not everyone is privileged enough to have access to the food and other supplies they might need to survive these times—but those of us with resources to share can give via Community Pantry PH as the group is setting up kitchens and pooling for donations for those in need.

Where to donate to help feed those in need in light of Typhoon Carina:
"Naka-standby po kami sa Community Pantry PH para sa mga iba't-ibang communities na affected," Non writes in a Facebook post published today, July 24. "Naghahanda din po kami na mag[tayo ng] kitchen para mag hatid ng hot meals sa evacuation centers." As of 2:45 p.m., she shares, more than 50 community kitchens have opened at evacuation centers in NCR.
You can do your part and send donations via GCash to the number 0945-145-4390 (initials AP N). Non also encourages those who can bring food directly to evacuation centers to do so, sharing ingredients for easy recipes that can feed up to 200.
Per the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration, the effects of the enhanced monsoon will continue even after Typhoon Carina exits the Philippine Area of Responsibility by July 25.
