Katsu Sets
Of course you've got to try Yabu's Katsu Sets — they're the main star of the show in the House of Katsu! You can choose between the Rosu set (starts at P390) or the Hire set (starts at P415) or you can order the Chicken set (starts at P375). The sets all come with unlimited refills of rice (you can choose between white or brown), miso soup, cabbage, and fruits.
Menchi Katsu Set
Yabu also serves menchi katsu, which is a deep-fried minced meat patty. You can choose between the Menchi Katsu Set (P430), which is made with ground beef and pork and stuffed with creamy cheese. You could also go for the Tori Menchi Katsu Set (P435), which is made with minced chicken and filled with ham and cheese.
Katsu Curry Set
The Katsu Curry Sets (starts at P420) is for those who are hankering for a saucier dish. Your choice of protein (Hire Kurobuta, Rosu Kurobuta, Hire, Rosu, Chicken, Cream Dory, or Menchi) is served with Yabu's signature curry sauce, along with the unlimited sides: rice, miso soup, shredded cabbage, and fruits.

Have we mentioned that Yabu serves unlimited rice, miso soup, shredded cabbage, and fruits? These are always refillable, no matter which set you order. They also serve hot or cold house tea that pair deliciously with the deep-fried katsu; you can get these upon request.
Do the Yabu ritual
What’s quirky about dining at Yabu is ‘the ritual’ where you crush your own sesame seeds and drizzle it with katsu sauce to make a dip for your katsu. It's an interactive experience, and you get to customize how nutty your katsu sauce becomes depending on how finely you've crushed your sesame seeds. Note though, that these only come with katsu sets without sauces, so if you've ordered the Katsu Curry or Katsudon sets, you likely won't get to do this as you won't need to make katsu sauce.
Consider Timing Your Visit
Yabu can get quite busy, especially during meal times. If you can, try to go during off-peak hours for a more relaxed dining experience.
