(SPOT.ph) If you're anything like us, then butter—real-deal, good-quality butter—has the ability to make you feel things. Good butter equals good flavor, and particularly in the case of baking, good texture, too. Japanese brand Butter Butler knows this principle by heart, and puts it into practice with their sought-after bakes made with European fermented butter. No need to book a flight to Tokyo to get your fix as they've opened shop in Manila—specifically at Power Plant Mall, Makati.

You can find Butter Butler's first Philippine branch at the R2 Level of Power Plant Mall, right beside Carmen's Best. Here, you can cop boxes of their signature Butter Financier (starts at P640/four pieces), their take on the classic French pastry known with a golden-brown, slightly crusty exterior and squidgy interiors. There's also the Butter Galette (P640/nine pieces)—another French classic with a tender-crumbly character similar to shortbread. Both have a resounding richness that lingers long on the tongue, thanks in no small part to Butter Butler's use of European fermented butter plus a touch of French sun-dried Guérande salt.
Butter Butler Rockwell is also home to a Philippine exclusive: the Butter Croffle (P135/piece, P550/five pieces). You probably know the drill with croffles by now—they're essentially waffle-pressed croissants—except these are no ordinary croissants, being made with fermented butter and a special flour blend from Japan.
iFoods Inc.'s President and CEO Bryan Tiu says it best: "Butter, usually a supporting role in sweets, is the star here, providing a rich, savory texture and flavor that supports the deliciousness of the dessert... the Butter Butler is not just a dessert, but a celebration of butter."
Butter Butler is at L/R2, Power Plant Mall, Rockwell, Makati City. For more information, check out Butter Butler PH's Instagram page.
