(SPOT.ph) If there’s one thing Filipinos love, it’s a good, saucy dish—the saucier, the better—and Jollibee knows it. Enter their latest creations: two new Chicken Fillet dishes, each drenched in a flavorful sauce of Tomato 'n Cheese and Pepper Cream. Even better, they’re one of the most budget-friendly rice meal options on the menu!

Jollibee introduces new Chicken Fillet dishes with Pepper Cream and Tomato 'n Cheese sauces

Starting March 11, Jollibee will have two new Chicken Fillet dishes on the menu—but not just a plain chicken fillet with gravy. The new dishes come in two saucy options; there's the Tomato 'n Cheese for those in Team Red Sauce and the Pepper Cream for those in Team White Sauce. And whichever team you decide to be part of (you can be in both!), the price is the same at P69 (solo).

The Tomato 'n Cheese is a sweet (read: Filipino-coded) tomato sauce with Mozzarella cheese bits on top of the chicken fillet—think of it like a budget-friendly chicken parmigiana. This sauce is pretty self-explanatory: it has cheese and tomato sauce. It’s a classic combo that never fails, whether on pasta, pizza, or, in this case, crispy breaded chicken.

We know what you're thinking: No, the tomato sauce is not anything like the spaghetti sauce used for the Jolly Spaghetti. While it carries that signature Filipino-style sweetness, the tomato sauce Jollibee uses on the chicken fillet is thinner in consistency and darker in color, resembling more of a pizza sauce than spaghetti.

On the other hand, the Pepper Cream offers a creamier contrast with just the right amount of peppery kick that tickles the tongue—but not enough heat for you to start sweating and chugging your drink. To keep things interesting, there's a cheesiness factor in the cream that adds depth to the flavor, not to mention a scent that reminds you of being in a steak house.

Sure, the Chicken Fillet is flavorful on its own, but let’s be real—Filipinos love their food extra saucy. A little extra would make a big difference, but unfortunately, there’s no way to get more. Jollibee doesn’t offer additional servings of Tomato 'n Cheese or Pepper Cream, even if you’re willing to pay extra. Hopefully, for those who love their ulam (and rice!) swimming in flavor, Jollibee will introduce an add-on sauce option in the future, that and a two-piece option.

A little extra would make a big difference, thankfully, an option for an extra serving of Tomato ’n Cheese or Pepper Cream is available for an additional P15 each (price varies). Hopefully, for the sake of who want a heftier meal, that Jollibee will introduce a two-piece Chicken Fillet on the menu in the near future.

Jollibee's Chicken Fillet in Tomato 'n Cheese and Pepper Cream is available starting March 11, priced at P69/solo. See list of Jollibee branches. For more information, check out Jollibee's Facebook page.
