Secret Menu alert: Brunch Bureau's Korean Chicken Chop gets a cheesy upgrade
If you're a regular at Brunch Bureau, you'd know the Korean Chicken Chop is their bestseller for a reason; it's a juicy chicken thigh given a special breading, deep-fried to a crisp and coated in their signature Korean-style sweet soy glaze. While many would say not to mess with a masterpiece, Chef Henrilyn Salvado and her team has taken it and dashed at full speed towards their own new take on Korean-style buldak fire chicken.
The result: their huge, easy-sharing Cheesy Korean Chicken Chop (P490), available exclusively at their branch in Legazpi Village, Makati. Here, Brunch Bureau takes that original tender chicken thigh fillet and marries it to a fantastic mix of gooey cheddar, mozzarella, and gochujang for an addicting combo of cheesy and meaty, with a pleasant heat that you’ll appreciate no matter your mileage for spiciness.
This glorious cut of chicken goes on top of their spam and kimchi fried rice (great for offsetting any burn with even more flavor), as well as a generous amount of edamame and pickled veggies on the side. Let it never be said that this fantastic treat isn’t a well-rounded meal.
