Krispy Kreme Is Bringing Out a Wild, Cheesy Offering This April

(SPOT.ph) You've had cheese on pizza and cheese on ice cream, but cheese on doughnuts? We don't know why it's rarely done, but Krispy Kreme seems intent on convincing us it should be a thing. For the month of April, anyway. It's going to be a busy month for the doughnut company and coffeehouse chain as its April calendar is filled with several launches—including the aforementioned cheesy doughnut for April, festive Easter-themed doughnuts and a drink, and a new line of lemonade that will help you survive the torturous summer months in the Philippines.

What's in store at Krispy Kreme this April

Before you assume it's another April Fool's joke, think again—Krispy Kreme is legit launching a savory doughnut this April. For a limited time only—two days to be exact—Krispy Kreme will offer the Four Cheese Pizza Doughnut (P75/piece). This April Fool’s Day exclusive, available from April 1 to 2 only, takes the brand’s iconic OG Glazed Doughnut and gives it a savory twist by topping it with special pizza sauce, torched cheddar, gouda, mozzarella, and Parmesan, all finished with a drizzle of honey. 

Once the prank-inspired treat disappears, Krispy Kreme will quickly shift gears for Easter with the Hoppy Easter Collection. From April 4 to 20, expect a lineup of festive, Easter-themed doughnuts such as the Bouncing Bunny: a pastel blue chocolate-dipped doughnut decorated with green icing, pastel sprinkles, vanilla Kreme, and a bunny topper; Easter Sprinkles: a ring doughnut dipped in strawberry and coated with pastel sprinkles; and the Bunny Basket: a dark chocolate-dipped doughnut topped with vanilla Kreme, sprinkles, and a bunny topper. 

To sip alongside these Easter treats is the White Choco Berry Fluff (price starts at P190): a strawberry white chocolate-flavored drink topped with torched marshmallow Kreme and strawberry bits. This will be available in the following Krispy Kreme factory stores: The Fort, BGC, Blue Ridge, Katipunan, Sto. Tomas, Batangas, IT Park, Cebu, SM Baguio, Cyberzone, Ecoland, Davao, Limketkai, Cagayan De Oro, SM City Bacolod, Evia Lifestyle Center, Las Piñas and Naga, and Camarines Sur. 

Lastly, Krispy Kreme will be launching new thirst quenchers this month, too. Available from April 9 to May 31, the Watermelonade series is a refreshing lemonade-meets-watermelon concoction that comes in three versions: Original, Fizzy, and Frozen—each blending lemonade, watermelon syrup, and a hint of basil for a bit of herby sweetness.

Krispy Kreme has a jam-packed April ahead, and, honestly, we can totally foresee how this will be a future problem for our wallets. From a cheesy April Fool’s doughnut, festive Easter treats, and an exciting lemonade lineup, resisting these limited-time goodies is going to be a challenge—a battle we’re more than happy to lose TBH.
