(SPOT.ph) Cheesecakes have long been all the rage among Manileños, and in the past couple of years, it seems the demand has only increased—and evolved, with more variations available and Filipino taste buds becoming more and more sophisticated. Catalan dining spot El Born's version, in particular, is among those that have captured social media by storm. And though it was previously only available at their MITSUKOSHI BGC restaurant and pastisseria, those in Makati are in luck as the famous cheesecake is now available at The Grid Food Market in Rockwell.

El Born Cheesecake at The Grid in Rockwell, Makati
Yup, folks, the famous El Born cheesecake can now be had at Power Plant Mall's The Grid food hall, specifically at Stall 15. Talk about the perfect post-nosh dessert for any occasion! You can go for a slice (P417) to share—or not—or grab the cheesecake in Mini (P943), Medium (P2,497), or Whole (P3,390) sizes.
What's the deal with this cheesecake, you ask? It's garnered tons of fans the local community of food folks thanks to its rich yet non-cloying character. The cheesecake is the creation of El Born's Chef David Amoros from Barcelona; one forkful through its burnt exterior and into its lush, molten interior would def convince you (as it has us!) it's well worth the hype.
El Born is a Catalan restaurant that opened at MITSUKOSHI BGC in 2023. The Grid Food Market on the other hand is Power Plant Mall's resident food hall, which opened in 2018.
El Born's Rockwell outpost is at Stall 15, The Grid Food Market, 2/F Power Plant Mall, Rockwell, Makati City. For more information, check out the Facebook pages of El Born and The Grid Food Market.
