Sainte Anne Cakes: Banana Bliss Cupcakes
We all know Sainte Anne Cakes Manila bakes one of the best strawberry shortcakes, but we’re not going to lie, the Banana Bliss Cupcakes launched last Christmas also still has us in a chokehold. And a solution for wanting both? Sainte Anne Cakes merges the two desserts with the Mother’s Day-special Banaberry Shortcake.
This new shortcake has layers of sponge cake with huge chunks of strawberries and bananas in the center, and all covered in light and sweet cream. It’s topped with more strawberries and banana (torched for some crunchy caramel action), plus dainty edible daisies.
How to order: Sainte Anne Cakes Manila's Banaberry Shortcake costs P3,700. You can place an order by filling up Sainte Anne Cakes Manila's order form.
Leonisa's Kitchen: Susan's Berry Pistachio Cake, Biscoff Banana Cream Puff, and Strawberry Earl Grey Cream Puff
Leonisa's Kitchen has come up with limited-edition desserts for Mother's Day. For starters, there's the Sugar Free Belgian Chocolate Kataifi Cake. In it layers of pistachio cream, sugarfree Belgian milk chocolate studded with pistachios, chocolate sponge, Belgian dark chocolate ganache, Belgian dark chocolate mousse, and crisp-crackly pistachio kataifi—talk about a treat for fans of the trending Dubai Chocolate!
Alongside the cake is the Mother's Day cream puffs set, which comes with two flavors in the box: the Biscoff Banana Cream Puff, which is filled with banana chunks, Biscoff cookie butter, and vanilla cream, then dipped in chocolate caramel and Biscoff cookie bits; and the Strawberry Earl Grey Cream Puffs, filled with vanilla cream, chocolate-earl grey cream, and strawberry chunks. The former is essentially banoffee pie in cream puff form; the latter has a surprisingly mild taste that makes it the perfect companion to coffee or tea.
