Choc-Oh Yeah: CIBO's Limited-Time Pastries Are Uber-Chocolatey Thanks to KitKat

(SPOT.ph) We're not going to lie—there were some recent brand collaborations that got us raising our eyebrows, like that time a certain milk tea brand launched drinks in partnership with a brand known for ketchup. But this one didn't get our eyebrows raising. Instead our heartbeats started racing out of excitement: Italian restaurant CIBO lahas teamed up with chocolate brand KitKat and launched chocolatey new pastries available for a limited time.

CIBO's new pastries are made in collaboration with KitKat

In unexpected but very welcome crossovers, CIBO and KitKat have joined hands and birthed three new chocolate pastries. You'll want to run, not walk, as these pastries are only available until July 31. 

For starters, there's the Cornetto made with KitKat. Cornetto is best described as a croissant's cooler cousin with flaky and buttery layers—and here it's topped with melted chocolate, and finished with a protruding KitKat stick.

There's also the Maritozzo made with KitKat, maritozzo being a popular pastry in Rome best likened to citrus-scented, cream-filled buns. CIBO's version uses a classic brioche bun filled with sweet cream, then take things up several notches with a chocolate filling and crisp coat of chocolate on the outside. Don't forget the Bombolini made with KitKat, a golden Italian doughnut that's coated with mocha, filled with cream, and topped with chunks of KitKat chocolate.

If you're indecisive and want to try all three, you should get the Box of 6 for P599. This box contains a piece each from the KitKat collaboration, and the other three are CIBO's classic pastries. And should you know which of the three you want, order the CIBO's Merenda Hour, which bundles a CIBO x KitKat pastry with a hot or iced Americano for P199. This CIBO merienda special is available for dine-in customers from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
