Confirmed: Japan's Hikiniku to Come Is Opening in the Philippines

(SPOT.ph) You've probably tried the hamburg steaks with rice during one of your many trips in Japan, or maybe it's made appearances on your recent scrolls through social media. But hold on to your chopsticks, because here's the most exciting part: Hikiniku To Come is coming to the Philippines. Yup, the Japanese restaurant will be opening its first Philippine location thanks to the Standard Hospitality Group—the same company behind other well-loved Japanese dining concepts such as Yabu, Ippudo, and Kiwami.

Japan's Hikiniku to Come to open first branch in the Philippines

Hikiniku to Come is opening its first Philippine store inside Uptown Mall in Bonifacio Global City, right beside the recently opened Ippudo Ramen Bar. Founded in 2020, the restaurant has made a name for itself for its charcoal-grilled hamburg (hamburger steak) placed on top of freshly-cooked, fluffy rice, which, according to their website, comes in unlimited refills. The basic menu also includes miso soup, homemade ponzu, grated daikon, condiments, pickles, and raw egg.

As of writing, there are no details on when Hikiniku to Come is opening its doors at Uptown Mall, but for the sake of our wallets and our constant impulse to book a flight to Japan, we're crossing our fingers it opens soon. Otherwise, Hikiniku to Come has four branches in Japan, namely in Kyoto, Shibuya, Imaizumi, and Kichijoji. Outside Japan, you can try it in Taipei Huashan and Xinyi in Taiwan; Dosan in Korea; ifc and Harbour City in Hong Kong, Centralworld in Thailand; and Guangzhou Tiande Plaza Store in China.
