Floyd Mayweather Jr. is a chicken...plate
There's no Manny Pacquiao flavor, though.
(SPOT.ph) The decade's biggest battle in boxing is less than a month away, and Filipinos can't help but get into the spirit of this whole Manny Pacquiao-Floyd Mayweather Jr. fight. Even food is getting in on the action, and we're not talking about bars offering pay-per-view screenings.
Chicken haven Señor Pollo is offering a Floyd Mayweather Chicken Platter for P999 in their branch at Ebro Street, Makati City. The dish is a sampler of bestsellers: fried chicken, roast chicken (ranked in SPOT.ph's Top 10 Roast Chicken list), hot wings, fries, and tortilla chips with salsa and chimichurri. It's the perfect centerpiece between friends and a beer. Or for watching the game.
The item has already been integrated into the menu and owner Daniel Mabanta said they will keep it whatever the outcome of the fight on May 2.
When asked why they're not offering a Manny Pacquiao platter, Daniel simply replied: "Manny's no chicken."
The Floyd Mayweather Chicken Platter is available only at the Makati branch. Señor Pollo has another outlet at F7 Scout Rallos Street, Quezon City.
