( When you need a quick breather from the hustle and bustle of the metro, Greenfield District is a lush, open space that will give you just that. In the past years, The Hub has transformed into a thriving food stripSplice Resto Bar is one of the newest restaurants to pop up along the blossoming strip called The Portal. Don't be fooled by the high ceilings and clean, modern interiors—they peddle familiar comfort food at reasonable prices.

A glimpse of the restaurant's bar


At the helm is Chef Ivory Yat, whom you might remember from the first season of Masterchef Philippines. Splice is her first foray into a restaurant kitchen. She brings her fun and outgoing personality into her dishes, reinterpreting food we all know and love.




Don't be afraid to get your hands dirty with the Angus Tapa Poutine (P220). Thick, hand-cut potatoes are generously drizzled with cheese sauce and topped with tender bits of Angus beef. We won't blame you if you wipe the sauce clean off the plate.


The Lisa Burger


Chef Ivory's specialty is her doughnut burger creations, named after her favorite characters from The Simpsons. Each doughnut is made in the kitchen, every bit as rich as you'd expect but thankfully, sans the oil. The Lisa Burger (P220) is a sinful marriage of sweet and savory, two slices of salted caramel doughnut hug a juicy beef patty that's topped with honey dijon mustard and barbeque sauce.



The Bartholomew Burger


Meanwhile, Homer's D'ohnut Burger (P220) is a simpler take on the combination, with American cheese, bacon, and grilled onions between glazed doughnuts. For the more adventurous, the Bartholomew Burger (P220) adds a tart twist with coleslaw, and a slight kick from the jalapeno.


Danggit and Chicken Skin Carbonara




Beef Stroganoff


Not in the mood for burgers? The Danggit and Chicken Skin Carbonara (P270) might be right up your alley. Think your usual creamy carbonara but instead of bacon, you get the salty and crunchy notes from the bits of danggit and chicken skin. If you're really hungry, the Beef Stroganoff (P220) is a hefty plate of hearty chunks of beef and dense potatoes swimming in thick gravy. Don't forget to pair the dish with your choice of rice (Italian Rice, Buko Pandan Rice, or "Dirty" Rice).


Whether you're in the area for the weekend market or you're just here to kick back on the sprawling greens, Splice is a fitting addition to Greenfield's vibrant community. Have another plate of poutine!
