Chez Karine announces shutdown by July 31
Say it ain't so, Chef Karen Yang
(SPOT.ph) Macaron favorite Chez Karine has announced that it will be closing shop on July 31.
According to their Facebook page:
"It is with sadness that we announce that we will be closing our doors in Serendra at the end of the business day on July 31. We would like to thank you, our customers, for all the support and encouragement you have given us for the past 3 years. It has been an absolute pleasure. We will be having special promos for our last couple of weeks, so look out for updates on FB, Instagram and Twitter. We hope you can come visit and say goodbye before we leave."
Chez Karine's branch at SM Mega Fashion Hall shut down on June 30.
Chef Karen Yang opened her quaint dessert-and-drink shop in 2012, and it was a runaway hit with its flawless French filled cookies, creamy puddings, and spectacular macaron sandwiches. Chez Karine is currently ranked in several SPOT.ph lists, including No. 1 on Top 10 Macarons and No. 10 on Top 10 Matcha Lattes. Its chic and adorable packaging also makes it a favorite Christmas giveaway.
There has been no word on any potential new branches. Meanwhile, French macaron emporium Laduree is set to open at Rockwell, Makati soon.
