Heads up, rib fans: We're revealing the new location of Fat Daddy's Smokehouse

This Marikina favorite is setting fire to a new city.

 

(SPOT.ph) Marikina has been building up their gastronomic reputation this past year, and arguably one of the the most prolific and sought-after eating destinations is Fat Daddy's. Deep in the far edges of the shoe capital, this breezy al fresco smokehouse has been attracting crowds with its from-scratch approach to food, beloved dishes, and signature smoky flavor. 

 

It's not the easiest place to get to, we completely understand. There are many twists and turns, and the street itself has a strange numbering system, but the reward is in the destination: fall-off-the-bone ribs, ruddy corned beef, homemade bacon slabs. Even the non-smoked items like the Hot Pork Poppers and Macaroni and Cheese are inspired. 

 

Fat Daddy's takes the spot formerly occupied by Rastro.

 

This isn't a rehash of good times at Fat Daddy's. The news is that this restaurant is expanding—and SPOT.ph can exclusively reveal that the second location will be at Burgos Circle, Bonifacio Global City, with the opening targeted for September. 

 

For this new branch, co-owner Josh Versoza tells us that they will be bringing in a new slew of U.S. Southern favorites, including deep-fried catfish (hito, something Pinoys can get behind) and smoked beef shortribs.
