Hold the chopsticks! Ippudo is about to open a second branch in Metro Manila
It's about time, Ippudo!
(SPOT.ph) The lines haven't diminished, but Ippudo is finally expanding its reach in Metro Manila. The top ramen chain is becoming an actual chain in the Philippines, with a second branch at Robinsons Place Manila.
Ippudo 2.0 is opening on August 31, nearly a year after it wowed everybody in its first SM Mega Fashion Hall location. On opening day, the first 150 guests will get a second bowl for free. Bring a buddy!
Ippudo originated in 1985 in Fukuoka, Japan. It's one of the biggest ramen franchises in the world, with slight nuances per country to adapt to the local palate. Apart from its delicious set of ramen dishes (the Shiromaru Motoaji, with a tonkotsu broth, is a favorite), Ippudo is famous for pork and chicken buns, and gyoza. In Manila, it's known for churning out novel ramen creations available only for a limited time.
