Would you like to try Squid Ink Ice Cream?
In the realm of all things weird comes this daring dessert.
(SPOT.ph) We still haven't gotten over Alab's heavily spiced Laing ice cream, but looks like there's a new contender for the Quirkiest Ice Cream title. Behold: The Ikazumi, a squid ink and charcoal ice cream that looks more like a sundae in a cone.
This curious concoction is by Le Petit Souffle over at Century City Mall. It's part of their Luxe Holiday desserts collection, and though it may raise eyebrows, we're very intrigued. Chefs Miko Aspiras and Kristine Lotilla, who've churned out delectable delicacies in projects like Scout's Honor, haven't really failed us yet.
The Ikazumi is definitely pushing boundaries. On top of that nutty, briny, velvety ice cream are chocolate-coated pretzel sticks, chocolate crispies, and slabs of chocolate.
We're fans of their Squid Ink Rizo. It shouldn't be too different with ice cream, right?
