What the heck is a Bibimbun?

It's like bibimbap...but as a dessert.

 

(SPOT.ph) Trust innovator Chef Him Uy de Baron to come up with a dessert version of bibimbap, the signature item of his restaurant, I Am Kim. It's called Bibimbun and, like the rest of the menu, it's a have-it-your-way type of activity. 

 

Bibim means "mixed" in English so using the term "Bibimbun" makes perfect sense. I Am Kim partnered with Pastry Armoire to make warm, sticky, creamy dessert buns, while artisan brand Up in The Clouds takes care of the ice cream. It's up to you, the customer, to mix and match. A la mode, by any other name, sounds so darn delicious.
