Cafe Shibuya, Outre open new branches

More desserts places? Yes!


( Café Shibuya was already serving Japanese desserts when they opened at UP Town Center in 2013, before the onset of the matcha, cheesecake, and kakigori craze. They specialize in these incredibly thick, wonderfully soft toast slices overloaded with toppings that range from cream, fruit, and chocolate to eggs, mushrooms, and bacon. It's a great balance, and everything on their menu (except maybe for the chocolate shakes) end up light but filling. 



Finally, after almost three years since their first outlet, Café Shibuya is opening a fourth branch at The Block, SM North EDSA, Quezon City, on January 23. The first 100 customers who present this coupon starting at 12 p.m. will get a free Honey Toast—it's Café Shibuya's standard offering and, with a side of whipped cream and crown of ice cream, delicious in its simplicity.

Another sweet shop expanding this week is social media darling Outré Manila. Although it has a staple set of savory dishes, this Aguirre favorite is known for its ever-evolving liquid nitrogen gelato and quirky graffiti wall (you know, you've seen it on Instagram). 


Outré Manila's second branch will open at Circuit Lane, Makati City, on January 27.
