(SPOT.ph) Just as a confident man can pull off a pink cashmere sweater on a cool day, Murray and D'Vine gets away with heart-shaped burgers. On other restaurants, this fashion choice might lean towards the gimmicky end of the spectrum, but the old-school watering hole has been doing it forever—and it doesn't take anything away from their flavors.
Their famous Juicy Lucy (P425), for instance, is a beefy, cheese-stuffed patty with onion rings and the usual condiments sandwiched in their trademark heart-shaped bread. Murray and D'Vine does this American cult classic justice, delivering a home run with the juicy all-beef patty oozing out a healthy dose of gooey cheese with every bite.
Murray and D'Vine is one of the pioneering establishments in Serendra. It's an expat favorite that has also become the go-to place for the young working crowd looking for a chill spot to guzzle relatively cheap beer at the end of a long day. After being picked up by The Bistro Group (T.G.I. Friday's, Buffalo Wild Wings, Bulgogi Brothers, and more) in 2015, their food was spruced up even more to meet the company's standards.
After some minor tweaks and adjustments, the menu boasts old Murray stand-bys along with popular American classics. The Bistro Group has decided to maintain the brand's pub feel while it's being developed into a better version of itself.
Spinach and Cream Cheese Dip
The bar chow selection is expectedly extensive, with dive bar staples Fried Mozzarella (P195), Curly Fries (P125), and Nachos with Beef and Cheese (P225) making the list. A more fun "vegetable" option would be the Spinach and Cream Cheese Dip (P175), which comes with fried pita chips for easy scooping and nibbling.

Baby Back Ribs
What the regulars swear by, though, are the Baby Back Ribs (P495/795) smothered in sticky, tangy, sweet barbecue sauce and a side of shoestring potatoes. The meat is flavorful and falls off the bones; they're so good you might go ahead and keep the whole slab for yourself.
Flatbreads are another specialty of the house. Thin, light, and crispy—these come in classic combinations such as Spinach and Onion (P265), Shrimp & Garlic (P295), and Chicken Barbecue (P265).
Avoid the frightening C5 rush hour traffic and hang at Murray and D'Vine before 7 p.m. to avail of P98 cocktails and P60 draft beer. Better yet, stay for dinner. We're pretty sure an hour more with a Juicy Lucy is going to be time well spent.
