(SPOT.ph) SPOT.ph's reigning No. 1 cheese pizza is finally crawling out of their San Juan hole-in-the-wall. Stephen's Brick Oven Pizza is set to open two more outlets before 2016 ends.
Pizza lover Stephen Chanco opened his eponymous restaurant on P. Guevarra in November 2015. It was a product of months of research and a lot of error. The aspiring restaurateur once tried to juggle his day job at a bank with his passion for food and ended up with what he described as "pedestrian" results. It was only when he fully committed to cooking that he was able to come out with handcrafted pies that flaunt perfectly crisp and chewy crusts and spot-on topping combinations.
Must-tries include that award-winning Three-Cheese Pizza (P280), Muscle Up (P380), and Italian Job (P360).
The second branch will open at West Capitol Drive, Kapitolyo, Pasig City (across Haru). It won't be large—keeping the coziness of the original store intact. The third branch, however, on Paseo de Roxas Avenue (right beside Paseo 59C), is reportedly a much bigger space. Pasta dishes are also in the works.
No launch dates have been scheduled, but we're already excited!
