This shop-slash-café has a charming facade that will instantly catch your attention. When Uan Met Sally is a quaint café that doubles as a trove for handmade bags, vintage clothes and accessories for the shabby chic (think Phoebe Buffay!). The al fresco seating area is quiet and surrounded by more interesting pieces. Their menu is small, but the excellent coffee and tea makes up for it!

This café is all about natural ingredients that are locally and organically sourced—from the coffee beans to cold-pressed juices, pumpkin soup to meatless mac and cheese, Hillside Café and Juice Bar will surprisingly satisfy your meat-loving palate!

iChill Theater Café is the place to be for aspiring actors, singers, and performers in general. This two-storey café holds open mic nights on both floors, where if one is brave enough to perform a piece, they get a free drink and meal! The walls are lined with old movie and theater posters; some of them starred in by the owner, Kuya Manzano, a theater actor and singer himself.

More specifically, the Harry Potter geek! The Nook Café is a small, two-storey café that features Diagon Alley-inspired wallpaper, the complete Harry Potter book collection, and throw pillows as chairs and box crates as tables. They even serve Harry and the gang’s favorite drink: Butterbeer!

For music freaks, coffee aficionados, and well, hipsters, Satchmi is the place to be. It’s probably one of the coziest cafes you’ll ever visit, despite the constant chatter and loud music. They sell well-curated vinyl record choices and play excellent music that just makes you want to sit back and relax with your coffee. Oh, and BP Valenzuela is a barista here!

Uke Box Caffé

Perfect for: The musician

Uke Box Caffé is a breath of fresh air from Libis’ strip of gas stations, banks, and retail stores. Stepping into the café automatically transports you to the beach—bunk-style seating, window view of seascapes, and hibiscus-themed decals. It’s hard to miss the wall lined with several ukuleles. Keep your eyes and ears open for announcements; they usually hold free ukulele workshops on the weekends.

Artists Haven is an art gallery and café in one. It’s a cozy and quiet place that houses various paintings and artworks of local artists, perfect for visitors who want to escape the city. There’s so much art everywhere, you wouldn’t know where to look first! To say the least, Artists Haven is a must-visit for people passionate about art, entertainment, and food.

Cat Café Manila

Perfect for: The feline-lover

This café rescues and adoptes stray cats, then nurses them back to health. The area is bright and warm, with scattered floor cushions, adding to its cozy vibe. For an entrance fee of P200, you get to pet and play with the cats for an hour while enjoying food and drinks. If you’re lucky, a cat may just curl up on your lap!
