Another Michelin-starred chef is opening a restaurant in Manila soon

FOO'D by Chef Davide Oldani will bring his Cucina Pop philosophy to BGC.


( Shangri-La at the Fort is quickly becoming one of the places to watch in Metro Manila when it comes to must-try restaurants, starting with Pink's and recently, Sugar Factory. The latest addition to that roster is Michelin-starred chef Davide Oldani's newest food venture, FOO'D, officially launching on December 2, opening date is December 3.



Chef Davide is known for his Cucina Pop philosophy, or his belief that world-class cuisine should be available at affordable prices. At D'O, his first restaurant in Milan, Michelin-star quality entrées max out at $18 (roughly P895). Lunch is offered at a set price of $14 (roughly P696) for two courses—a steal if you consider that options include an onion tarte tatin with Grana Padano ice cream or Chef Davide's unique take on the classic risotto Milanese.


The same philosophy will be at work at FOO'D, the newest addition to Chef Davide's restaurant empire. According to his website, FOO'D is a collaborative effort between the chef and his team, who will not remain behind the scenes this time around, sharing the spotlight instead with the renowned chef. Says Chef Davide on his site, " FOO’D brings with it everything I have learned over time, from different places but above all from others. Innovation that is not revolution, because it does not turn things upside down, but completes them."



World-class food at affordable prices? Count us in.


FOO'D will open at G/F Shangri-La at the Fort, Bonifacio Global City.
