Señor Pollo is now in Alabang and the Grilled Chicken Quesadilla is a must-try
The Latin-American chicken joint heads south.
G/F ATC Corporate Center, Madrigal Avenue, Alabang, Muntinlupa City
Open from 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. (Sunday to Thursday), and 11:30 a.m. to 1 a.m (Friday to Saturday)
(SPOT.ph) Reasonable prices, good food, and a chill, artsy vibe—just some (if not all) of the things most people look for when finding that perfect food spot. If, like us, you already have a favorite, it goes without saying that sometimes the only deal breaker would be the location. South peeps, everything you love about Latin American chicken street joint Señor Pollo—from its flavors to its cool ambiance—is now closer to home.
Just like its two other branches in Quezon City and Makati, the Alabang branch was also given a splash of color with vibrant wall art and a quote from an exquisite poem by Pablo Neruda on the side. Its signature distressed-wood panels are still there as well as the brick walls and chalkboard menu. The interiors, charming, rustic, and a bit reminiscent of a Mexican cantina, has a very welcoming vibe.
As for food, you still won’t go wrong with their bestseller, the Roast Chicken (P279/no sides, P355/half with two sides). The flavors go well with their freshly made chimichurri (a sauce that adds a taste of fresh herbal and zing to the chicken), garlic, and chili sauce, but it’s best enjoyed with one of the sides—either the mac n’ cheese (P69), tossed salad (P59), coleslaw (P59), sweet potato mash (P59), cilantro garlic rice (P55), patatas bravas (P85), garlic mashed potato (P59), spicy rice (P55), french fries (P59), Colombian beans (P69) or fried plantains (P45).
Grilled Chicken Quesadilla
If you want to have a new favorite, the Grilled Chicken Quesadilla (P180) is definitely a must-try. You’ll never go wrong with the taste of melted cheese and shredded chicken to perk up your day. You can also try their Fried Chicken (P79/no sides, 149/one piece with two sides). It’s juicy, tastefully seasoned, and perfect whether for a quick grub or you’re up to pair it with your favorite drinks.
Dulce de Leche Cheesecake
Flan de Naranja
Still have room for dessert? Señor Pollo may seem like it’s not a place for those with a sweet tooth but they surprisingly have delicious options. Try the Dulce de Leche Cheesecake (P155), a decadent combination of creamy sweetness of dulce de leche sauce and cheesecake or the melt-in-your-mouth Flan de Naranja (P155) with a hint of mandarin orange topped with golden caramel.
Crispy Chicken Sisig
Tenders and Fries
Perfect with a cold beer are their finger-licking good pulutan like the Chicharrones (P269), Crispy Chicken Sisig (P269), and the Tenders and Fries (P169). They’ll even have a Buy 2 Take 1 Beer promo for all weekdays of December (only available at the Alabang branch) so you have more reasons to call your friends and celebrate.
Also sample their cocktails if you’re feeling like a cocktail connoisseur for the night. You’ll definitely enjoy the Cuba Libre (P105) as well as the refreshing Limonada Corrupta (P125).
Señor Pollo, as regulars already know, is the best place to eat and drink so it’s no surprise if the Alabang branch also becomes a go-to spot for the work-weary crowd who wants to blow off some steam after a long day at work.
