(SPOT.ph) 2016 truly was the year of the salted egg. Once the humble side dish of liempo, the golden ingredient made its way to wings, buns, and of course, chips. It was a struggle to get our hands on the super-addicting salted egg potato chips early this year, but we're glad to see more variants of the snack out in the market. Top baker Penk Ching has also put her own spin on the salted egg chips with Eat My SPuDs. "The thin, crisp chips [have] artisanal salted egg seasoning as a base," she says, to which she adds her own seasonings, creating two brand new flavors: White Truffle (P325) and Spicy Pork Floss (P325).
The White Truffle chips have a hint of richness. And for those who want their chips with a little heat, the Spicy Pork Floss is seasoned with pork floss and chili. Penk is also working on new flavors to welcome 2017.
