Update: Cafe Ysabel is reopening in a new location
But they'll be keeping the same menu. Hello again (soon), strawberry shortcake!
(SPOT.ph) Many hearts broke when Cafe Ysabel first announced that they will be closing in April 2017. The rustic restaurant in San Juan was one of Manila's go-to spots for romantic dinners, anniversaries, and engagements, so a lot of regulars hoped that their closure was just temporary. Well, it looks like your wish has been granted because according to Chef Gene Gonzalez, Cafe Ysabel is set to reopen in a brand new location along Wilson Street, in Greenhills, San Juan.
According to Chef Gene, the new Cafe Ysabel will have the same menu, like the well-loved Strawberry Shortcake, Truffle Pizza, and more—albeit in a smaller venue. No exact opening date or address has been announced yet (though Chef Gene hinted that they'll be opening near Monterey Meatshop along that stretch), but you can still have some cake at Cafe Ysabel before they close their original spot at 455 P. Guevarra Street, San Juan City.
