Champetre in BGC to close next month
But a new concept by Chef Marc Aubry will take its place.
(SPOT.ph) Sadly, another well-loved restaurant is closing its doors this year. Champetre Bistro and Restaurant in Bonifacio Global City will bid farewell on March 4, as posted by Chef Marc Aubry on the restaurant's official Facebook page.
French Farmed Rabbit Stew "ala Pauline"
Champetre will be missed for their menu of authentic country-style French fare, most of which were inspired by Chef Marc's childhood. The French Farmed Rabbit Stew "ala Pauline" for example, which was part of the restaurant's new menu after their first minor renovation, is from a recipe by Chef's Marc's Grandma Pauline. But if there's one dish Champetre is known for, it's the Homemade Duck Foie Gras Terrine with Salad and Toasts, easily a favorite among regulars and new diners alike. Aside from their delicious food, Champetre will be remembered for making French cuisine less intimidating with their quaint rustic ambience.
Fans of Chef Marc need not fret too much however, because the chef promises to return to the same spot in BGC, with a brand-new concept and name to match. The tentative opening of this new restaurant is set for June 2017.
Catch Champetre before they close at G/F Net One Plaza, 26th Street corner 3rd Avenue, Bonifacio Global City.
