Anthony Bourdain is returning to Manila for World Street Food Congress
And we have the details!
(SPOT.ph) It's time to shine the spotlight on street food...again! The World Street Food Congress is hosted by the Philippines for the second year straight, and this year, the food fest will be held at the SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds from May 31 to June 4.
Last year's jamboree was packed!
Just like the previous year, there will be a World Street Food Congress Dialogue with celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain visiting the Philippines to talk about his upcoming Bourdain market in New York. Joining him are Chef Malcolm Lee of Candlenut Singapore and Chef Andy Yang of Rhong Tiam in Thailand.
While admission to the dialogue isn't free (you may purchase tickets through the official World Street Food Congress website), entrance to the World Street Food Jamboree (aka the actual food fest) is! With a bigger venue, the jamboree will be hosting more stalls with 30 hawkers from 14 countries flaunting their local street food. Expect a bigger feast with Marmite chicken burgers from Singapore, tacos from Mexico, and of course, regional fare from host country the Philippines. Isaw, here we come!
The World Street Food Congress will be held at SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds, Pasay City from May 31 to June 4. The World Street Food Congress will be open from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. (May 31 to June 2); 1 p.m. to 11 p.m. (June 3); and 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. (June 4). For more information, log on to the official World Street Food Congress website.
