This giant "xiao long bao" is coming to Manila
Introducing the Guan Tang Bao.
(SPOT.ph) With the Philippines' large Chinese population and how well-loved Chinese food is, it's no wonder dim sum is such a hit. One of our personal favorites: Xiao long bao! A serving of xiao long bao is usually just large enough to fit a soup spoon, but what if we told you you could get a soup dumpling so big, you’ll need a straw to sip that flavorful broth? Shanghai-based franchise Bai Nian Tang Bao is set to open in Uptown Parade, with the tentative date set for July 18, and they’re bringing with them their specialty: the Guan Tang Bao.
Super Guan Tang Bao
Crab Guan Tang Bao
Think of the Guan Tang Bao as a larger, juicier xiao long bao. We’re looking forward to the Crab Guan Tang Bao, with real crab egg, and the Super Guan Tang Bao, a giant soup dumpling large enough to completely fill a steamer (and for you to use a straw to have its delicious broth).
This is the first Philippine store of Bai Nian Tang Bao (known abroad as Bai Nian Long Bao), which has over 100 branches in Hong Kong, China, South Korea, and Singapore. Bai Nian Tang Bao also carries other Chinese dishes like noodles, rice toppings, snacks, desserts, and more.
Bai Nian Tang Bao will open at G/F Uptown Parade, Uptown Bonifacio, with the opening date tentatively set for July 18.
