Bacon Meets Dim Sum at This Poblacion Hole-in-the-Wall
Bacon Wrapped Siomai, anyone?
(SPOT.ph) Growing food hub Poblacion is home to taquerias, third wave coffee shops, and brunch places—but surprisingly not to an excellent rice bowl place. That is, until WOKby 4900 came along. Owned by husband-and-wife duo Patricia Cheung and John Paul Cheung, together with friend Kian Kazemi, the hip hole-in-the-wall serves rice and noodle bowls inspired by the flavors of Southeast and East Asian cities. Think spicy kimchi rice meals and classic Mongolian bowls. WOKby 4900 also offers a menu of Asian-inspired but also out-of-the-box chow like Cheeseburger Spring Rolls and Bacon Wrapped Siomai.
