(SPOT.ph) Is a trip to France on your bucket list? While you save up for your dream, you can get a taste of what it's like to dine in the country of romance at Makati Shangri-La. Until July 2 they are hosting La Vie en France (Life in France), a festival celebrating French food, wine, and culture.
Garlic Butter Snails
French chefs Gilles Galli and Eric Weidmann turned Sage Bespoke Grill into La Brasserie, serving classic French dishes like Dover Sole, Beef Rossini, Garlic Butter Snails, and more. You could also indulge in a French pairing dinner on June 29 at 6 p.m. with a five-course dinner by Chef Eric and a selection of classic Bordeaux wine from Château Lafite Rothschild for P3,000++.

French Afternoon Tea
Makati Shangri-La is also offering French pastries like macarons, eclairs, mille-feuille, and opera cakes at the Lobby Lounge, all crafted by guest chef Yves Michoux. You can get a full French afternoon tea experience, too for P1,850++. This will include pastries and sandwiches by Chef Yves as well as oak barrel tea from Champagne, France.
Of course, no French culinary affair is complete without cheese. The Lobby Lounge is also hosting La Fromagerie, with over 25 cheeses to choose from, from Morbier to Tome de Savoie. For P1,300++, you can get unlimited cheese, plus bread and a glass of wine.
