The New 8 Cuts at Greenbelt Could Become Your Favorite Beer-And-Wings Joint

(SPOT.ph) If you’re one of the folks who panicked when 8 Cuts disappeared from their flagship space in Greenbelt, don’t fret because the burger joint is back and literally bigger than ever. In fact, this branch is now the biggest 8 Cuts to date.

Now contained in their own separate building just a few steps away from their original location, 8 Cuts takes advantage of their new expanded space by adding something that goes perfectly with their beefy burgers: Beer on tap.

 

“Ever since Burger Bar, there’s always been beer on our menu,” shares Group PR Head Maita Quesada. “But here, the space allowed us to have a full set-up. So we now have beer on tap from [local craft beer] Engkanto.”

Frozen Beergerita and Frozen Mint-Jito

 

Available on tap are crisp Lager (P125/330mL, P200/500mL, P399/one liter), Pale Ale (P145/330mL, P220/500mL, P430/one liter), and Double IPA (P170/330mL, P260/500mL, P495/one liter) from Engkanto, all served in ice-cold glasses. But if you’re in the mood for stronger libations, the full bar also carries hard liquor and three refreshing specialty cocktails: Frozen Lemonade Margarita (P165/glass, P349/carafe), Frozen Mint-Jito (P165/glass, P349/carafe), and the deadly-looking Frozen Beergerita (P225/glass).

 

While 8 Cuts Greenbelt still has their full menu of delectable burgers, everyone knows that when there are drinks involved, you’ll want to have some easy-to-munch-on grub on hand, too. 8 Cuts gets you, and they’ve added more finger food to their menu, exclusive to the Greenbelt branch.

Though admittedly overlooked in favor of their burgers (and onion rings, if we’re being honest), 8 Cuts has always carried excellent Garlic Parm Wings (P245), fried until light and crisp and with a finger-licking coat of flavor. But Buffalo wings lovers will be happy to note that 8 Cuts now has their own version: Them Buffalo Wings (P245). 8 Cuts doesn’t add any unnecessary frills to their wings, sticking to a classic combo of sour, spicy and deliciously buttery that’s a guaranteed crowd-pleaser. On the sticky-sweet side are the Good Ol' Wings (P245) that are seriously addicting, too.

Fried Pickles

 

Chinatown Shrimp Poppers

 

Also perfect with beer is the lip-smacking tang of the Fried Pickles (P145), which come with a Blue Cheese Sriracha dip, that tastes way better than it sounds. You also won’t be able to stop munching on the Chinatown Shrimp Poppers (P299), lightly battered and coated with a sweet-and-sour glaze that’s enhanced by a delicious umami Kung Pao Dip.

But the real game changer of 8 Cuts’ Greenbelt menu is The Platters. Try to control your emotions when a huge tray laden with all of your 8 Cuts favorites is placed in front of you. Two variants are available: The Cavalry (P380), with four pieces of Wings (any flavor), Mozza Nuggets, Onion Rings, and The Double Dipper, and The Crew (P399), with four pieces of Wings (any flavor), Mozza Nuggets, Fried Pickles, and Sub-Atomic Bacon Fries.

 


 

For the five years they’ve been around, 8 Cuts has become known as a neighborhood joint you could rely on for an excellent burger. But their newly revamped Greenbelt branch takes things a notch higher—aside from the second floor and bar, they now also have an al-fresco area decorated with fairy lights that look fantastic at night. We can’t blame you if you'd never want to leave.
