Starbucks' Latest Drinks Are a Treat for Caramel Fans

Try them starting next week!

( Fans of caramel are in for a treat at Starbucks this month! The coffee chain is starting the year with the return of a crowd favorite, the Salted Caramel Mocha Crumble (P155/short, P165/tall, P180/grande, P195/venti), which has espresso blended with dark chocolate and toffee nut syrup for a rich, smooth flavor. Whipped cream, caramel sauce, and a blend of turbinado sugar and sea salt add a sweet and savory combination that is sure to get you addicted to this drink again.

Plus, Starbucks is also introducing a classic Japanese flavor through a new drink—and if you love caramel, you'll fall for this one, too. The Okinawa Brown Sugar Latte (P155/short, P165/tall, P180/grande, P195/venti), only available warm or iced, uses Okinawa brown sugar or kokutowhich is simply pure sugar cane juice reduced into molasses through heat. The result is a mellow, caramel-like flavor, which Starbucks blends together with espresso. It's then topped with an airy milk foam and brown sugar drizzle, for a drink that is light but still has that touch of caramel sweetness. Both drinks will be available starting January 9.
