(SPOT.ph) While there's absolutely nothing wrong with Din Tai Fung's classic Pork and Chicken XLB—in fact, it's the exact opposite—we can't say we're not open to trying new, wilder flavors. The Taiwan-born restaurant opened their first ever xiao long bao bar in the world at Power Plant Mall in December 2017, and with a new concept also came new flavors. While the gorgeous restaurant is very much worth the trip to Makati, we understand if you'd rather not drive through traffic—so does, Din Tai Fung, because they're making the Rockwell branch-exclusive flavors available in all branches until September 9.
Until September 9, you can get new flavors like the Uni and Pork Xiao Long Bao (P55/piece), peppered with velvety bits of uni, Chili Crab and Shrimp Xiao Long Bao (P85/piece) with a bold spicy-sweet broth and fresh briny flavors, and the Pork and Kimchi Xiao Long Bao (P55/piece) which fuses Korean and Taiwanese flavors in one plump dumpling. Catch them before they're gone and you might even end up with a new favorite you'd brave Makati traffic for.
