Why Not Switch Things Up With Sushi Cake on Your Birthday?
Though you don't need an excuse to party with this cake, really.
(SPOT.ph) No birthday is complete without a cake, but who says it has to be your usual sugary-sweet and frosted variety? Sushi Nori is celebrating their own birthday this month with a cake that's a little bit different from the usual: The Sushi Cake (P1,200).
The round cake is made with sushi rice, salmon, tuna, tamago, and cucumbers, and a special mildly salty soy sauce-based dressing plus a sprinkling of toasted sesame seeds. It looks as gorgeous as any flour-based cake, too, with its fresh and colorful top. You could make this the centerpiece of any party spread—though it probably won't stay on the table for long.

*Update: A previous version of this story mentioned that the Sushi Cake has mangoes. This has since been corrected.
