This Mini Café Will Make Your Commute a Little Bearable
Plus, you get to help farmers, too!
(SPOT.ph) Commuting is never easy in Metro Manila, especially when you ride the MRT on a regular basis. Not only do you have to contend with long lines and trains with fellow commuters packed like sardines, you also can never tell if the train is even going to arrive on time or won't stop in the middle of the tracks. Lots of things can go wrong, so we always welcome whatever ray of comfort we can get. The folks behind social enterprise-slash-coffee-shop The Giving Café understand these struggles and they're making things a little more bearable by opening an extension of their café, The Giving Cart at MRT Cubao Station on September 15.
The Giving Cart will be offering commuters different kinds of drinks sure to perk them up—classics like Espresso, Americano, and Latte are on the menu, as well as non-caffeinated drinks like Hot Choco and Choco Quake. They'll also be offering Taytay's budbod or a handy yet filling rice cake topped with minced tapa, tomatoes, spring onions, and scrambled eggs. All meals and drinks are priced at P80 so they're all easy on the wallet. Plus, The Giving Cart supports the Foundation for Sustainable Coffee Excellence, which in turn helps the farming communities of La Trinidad, Benguet, so your money goes a long way.
The Giving Cart will open at MRT Cubao Station, Cubao, Quezon City. For more information, visit their Facebook page.
