Boracay Favorite CocoMama Now Has a Branch in La Union

( Ever since we discovered CocoMama, we couldn't think of a beachside treat more perfect than coconut ice cream served inside a coconut shell—it's no wonder they were such a hit in Boracay. Not only was their ice cream picture-perfect, but the mix of the vegan coconut cream-based ice cream with mangoes, coconut meat, sticky rice, and pinipig was irresistible, especially after a long day of soaking the sun. With Boracay's temporary closure, CocoMama had to take a hiatus, too, though they did serve up their treats to Manila folks for a while with a pop-up at Hole In The Wall. They're set to reopen with Boracay on October 26, but if you already miss them, you can now also find them in La Union!

Their La Union branch is at The Great Northwest Philippines Travel Stop and View Deck, home of some of La Union's coolest food spots like Sabong, Makai Bowls, and El Union Coffee. While CocoMama used to have a pop-up at Flotsam and Jetsam, owner Nowie Potenciano confirms that they'll be staying at their new spot permanently, so it looks like you can get your tropical-fruit fix after catching some waves whenever you want.

CocoMama is at MacArthur Highway (Manila North Road), Urbiztondo, San Juan, La Union.
